I got one of those...

Let's see now...

Pros: Accurate. Stronger then a Colt SAA (maybe).

Cons: Poor balance. Had to whittle the grips down to fit my hand. A lot of aluminum parts that were painted "blue". As you note the parts that are "silver" in color (I scraped all the blue paint off because it was chipping). Chambers do not line align with the loading gate.

I much prefer my colt SAA and had to take it out of semi-retirement.

I love my Ruger, but mostly because it was my first gun. I also sanded off the paint over the aluminum and it looks so much better. The aluminum grip frame got some deep scratches from a backpack or something and it was shiny in contrast to the black paint on it. I sanded the scratches out and the paint off and it looks sexy now. Very accurate (.32 h&r magnum), I put a dot scope on it just for fun and it blows me away how accurate it is. It's the only revolver I own.

Then you'll like this one, loke. It's see thousands of rounds, many rides into the mountains, Waded mountain streams (under water) when I was fishing, protected my family and a backup when I went hunting. It has taken two Black Tails.

Reminds me of an old Skeeter Skelton story from Shooting Times 30 years ago where he found what appeared to be a mint condition 44 Russian SAA until he turned it over and saw F. Bustamonte scratched into the barrel with a nail.

Name of the article was Francisco Bustamonte I hate you. Why I can recall that I do not know....
