This self guided bullet is in development stage and potential customers include the military, law enforcement and recreational shooters. The scientists that developed this design are also hunters!!

And we think loading components are high now! Ought to be just the thing for the jerk mentioned in the Primitive Weapons Hunting forum for shooting deer with his cannon.

SSL, maybe this can give a different approach for long-range-bowhunters...
a few grains blackpowder in the tip could make a lot of fun and give enough smoke to leave the dog home Smile

I guess you still need a two-man team as the spotter now guides the bullet, hmmm ... or will the laser be integrated into the rifle's scope.

Those drawing look similar to an IR guidance system I designed for my model rockets. (I never actually flew it - that would have been illegal)
