Don’t know the full story behind this pic, other than it was apparently found in Russia and is a Sniper Nest from 81 years ago. Looking at the optic attached to the rifle, I am of two minds about the age of the pic.

Apparently it is a Russian Sniper rifle from WW II. Apart from that, I have no further info.

Aren't the optics upside down?
If yes, did they do it to still see the target when they hold over with these fat aiming-arrows?

reminds me of the Winchester lever action they found leaning up against a tree from the late 1800's.

that winchester looks like a good clean and some light oil and be good to go again....the Russian rifle...not so much.
