I know there is a wide range of people here with different interests, but I was wondering generally, do you guys have many mounts of animals / birds or fish? How many? What types?

We have 2 pronghorn antelope, 2 deer 1 caribou at the house. At my parents I still have a couple mounted fish and a monster sized goose on the wing (no-where to put it in our house atm LOL... its BIG). I enjoy looking at them and remembering when they were taken, much better than pictures.

Anyone have any really exotic mounts of stuff? Strange stuff like the Tazmanian Devils?

In the house I have one 5x5 mule deer shoulder mount and the rest, 3 Whitetail, 2 Muleys, and one 5x5 Elk are antlers only. I have about 4 or 5 more Mule Deer and Whitetail antler sets in the garage that have not been mounted yet. I used to have a lot of antlers stored at the farm but after my Dad quit farming they disappeared. And some I just never kept.

I have a set of Fallow antlers I mounted (hacksaw through the top of the skull), a lovely winter coat off a Fallow doe I tanned and a couple of Kangaroo skins I tanned. They have to stay in the garage cause the missus won't allow them into the house Sad Laughing

Sorry Dallan...no Tassie Devils, although I have seen them on a couple of occasions.

Cheers, Vince

Ah yes..."The Branch".

One set of Blacktail antlers. Three points to a side. Or a three point. Or a 3 X 3. We didn't count the eye guards in those days.
