The covid vaccine should be tested on politicians first. If they survive, the vaccine is safe. If they don’t, the country is safe.

Has merit.
Polosi would be an excellent candidate.
But what do we do if she lives?

It’s absolutely great news. HOWEVER: there are still many caveats.
The 90% efficacy is for Lab confirmed COVID19, implying that people get tested after symptoms (there does not seem to be periodic tests of asymptomatic people).
This is very good, but since it spreads so easily asymptomatically, one still wonders if the vaccine reduces: (1) any infection (does it still allow infection to spread asymptomatically?); (2) Symptom severity (does it reduce mortality & morbidity in those most at risk?).
Also, safety: Even at the next interim analysis (late Nov), only 2 months will have passed since half of the participants received the 2nd dose.

great if you are the 90% but really sucks if your in the 10% bracket.

My Dad, a Boeing engineer, said he would fly in a plane after it had a million miles without an incident. I think I'll wait until at least a million people have been inoculated with no problems. By then I won't need to be inoculated. I'll just call and ask where my card is and they will send me a card saying I have had the vaccine. I'm sure that having the card is as good at preventing the disease as the "no gun" signs are at keeping folks safe.

Paul,
I can understand the waiting bit.
However not having the vaccine after youve proved to yourself its safe makes you the weak link in the chain.
Signs or cards wont cut it this time, unfortunately.
I agree with your ol man, some aircraft at 1 million miles are like brand new, the only original bit left is the data plate.

I don't get flu vaccines and I never get the flu.
Being the weak link in such a fragile chain doesn't say much.
I could be immune all on my own.
Everything we have been told about this vaccine has changed so often it is almost laughable.
There have been doctors who have lost their license to practice medicine over voicing their concerns over this fraud that is perpetrated against the American people.
I know the virus is real. I know that around 1% die after having a positive test but nobody knows, or is saying, how many have died because of the virus. We have been told by the CDC that the number is about 10% of the mainstream media count. We have been lied to so much that I believe very little of what I experience and less of what I read. I don't trust the AMA, the different levels of government and the national news agencies.
I do know that our right to hold the developers of the vaccines accountable for side effects has been suspended so there is no accountability anywhere. Would you have insurance that doesn't cover your passengers injuries? Would you buy a house with the understanding that you may not own it?
There is so much misinformation on the virus and the vaccines that I don't trust any of it. If that makes me the weak link then so be it.

Paul...My wife and I are on your side. I figure if everyone gets the shot then I may not need it.
I'll be 78 this year and I have no underlying health issues (that I know of other then my age). AND...I also do not get the flu even when my wife brings it home.

It's always nicer when your wife shares with you...
Well, most of the time. Maybe you have a better immune system, like me.
Mine gets overactive sometimes but mostly just keeps me healthy.
My skin peals annually - like a snake - and sometimes I have overactive sensitivity to pollen in the air. Then it goes away and I am fine.
