Ok I welded the cable to a piece of rebar for the handle while forging.
IT is easier to have a handle rather than use a tong since it gives much more stable and unmovable holding.

Thought that in the back of my mind Scratch but want to be sure . really like the shape of the handle.

if I can make something even half as good as that in two days I will be stoked....
and that handle is awesome,do not sell yourself short,beautiful piece of timber and a good shape to use....

cheers mate...Ive been looking hard out on the net to suss out whats what and what shapes etc are out there but keep coming back to the same thing,my preferred blade shape is a clipped point /smaller Bowie with blade around the 5-7" mark with decent handle grip....
guess I BETTER hurry up and contact the man and make a booking.
