Just barely a month pass, the flood water is back in Queensland.

I guess I can't ask you to change seats with me. Mine is wet too. I guess the country needed some rain huh? NOW WHAT? Sheesh you've had a fill. Did it at least cool off the heat? Or just make you sweat more? Keep a boat handy Geland and Vinnie. Oh yeah and watch out for mad and pissed off snakes.

The snakes are not an issue or problem...I see them, make an assessment on there level of danger and act accordingly. Snakes have never eally phased me much.
Is your butt still wet Suz...you are a definite worry my dear.
Boat....nah...I got my snorkel and mask.
Cheers, Vince

Would it help if I sent you a towel or a sponge?

I'm just talkin rain and you know it. It's almost been non-stop here, we get about 12hr.s between storms, sometimes that 12hrs includes sun breaks but mostly not. Our next storm is arriving from the Pacific then it's going to stall over us and head back out to the Pacific and probably come back again. Tomorrow we're getting a flow from the south (Califoricated) that's going to bring in some hot air (of course) near 60* that should be nice. I'll lift off the stump and dry it out for a bit (the stump). So ya wanna come give me a sponge and a wipe?

No flooding here yet. Still about three feet of snow on the ground. Haven't seen any above freezing temps. since mid November. Most areas here along the rivers are already filling untold numbers of sandbags in preparation for our impending flooding. Hope you survive yours OK.

I don't wanna be misleading, our average rainfall is around 60in. per year (152cm) so this is pretty normal stuff, It's just that I'm gettin tired of it. Where I used to live in Az. it was around 11 or 12 inches, so this is a change for me. The rain in Tucson runs off into a gully and gets flushed away, but here it just sinks into the ground like a sponge. The water table here at my house is about at 10ft (304cm) and I have redwood trees soaking it up. I'm also pretty close to a river, it's about 1/2 mile away. Hopefully I'm not in a flood zone but around here anything can happen.
When I first moved here people warned me that rivers rise, trees fall and hills slide. They were right, all of the above happen here every year, you just have to be lucky it's not happening to you.
