I kinda liked yesterday, the college, like most educational institutions called it a snow day. However I don't think we really got much snow over all up here. Or at least I don't think it was much. But the day off was good, gave me time to get a hair cut and study.

Well from digging out for the 2nd day, my snowblower breathed its last. Was doing fine at the end of the drive way when the rpms just launched into orbit speeds. Mad

Perhaps I need one of these.

It is a house and garage - the garage is all you can see under the snow.
You better put some mufflers on that snow blower or the neighbors are going to bury it where it won't be found... until spring.

I can guarantee that the neighbors would have ignored the noise just to get rid of the snow for them. Btw, I grabbed the v8 snowblower pic off the web when looking at prices for a replacement snowblower. I did take a few pics but could only grab one off the camera, I think memory card may have went south. This is a photo of neighbors shop downtown after making 2 swipes in front of his shop.

The problem here in North Texas is different. We got 4" of snow last night but there is still 2" of solid ice underneath it. This winter wonderland environment has made traveling a mess. The sun has finally come out this afternoon so maybe that will soften some of it up.

25 -30 ' celcius down to a comfortable 12 - 15 at night.

I sure hope the doe survives. We are back in the deep freeze again with snow and ice. The good news is it only lasts a couple of days compared to a couple of months up on the Northern border.

sunday just gone we cranked up the barbie it was a wee tad too warm for my likeing, just as well I had a cold speights in the fridge or I may have vapourized. National temperature high for the day and the highest ever recorded here in Timaru 42 degrees C.

42*C....that is almost unheard of in NZ mate. Sydney copped a real stinker of a week last week, hot westerly winds from the "Centre". You guys must have been on the receiving end of that as well.

I can't imagine that kind of temp down there in NZ...we haven't even gone that high this year in Brisbane.
