Check any of the major ring maker sites and they have a drawing showing dementional drawings for there rings. All that I have seen will measure from the top of the base to the bottom of the U shape in the ring.

If you looking for a setup for your gun and scope combination any of the providers will offer guidance as to the lowest set of rings.

I wonder why Burris decided there XTR Rings needed to be $40 higher there everyone elses. There are a lot of people building high quality rings for picninny bases. I guess because it has "Tactical" in the name.......

Your scope rings are measured where "B" is. So bottom of the rings base where it touches the dovetail to bottom of the hole which clamps the scope.

By the way Pennicatty/M1913 rings only work on M1913 spec rails. They will not fit a Weaver style dovetail. But Weaver style rings will fit a M1913 mount.

Used to ride my Roadmaster balloon tired 26" bycicle from Tigard to Tualatin. Not to mention... I did my early fishing and swimming in the Tualatin River south of Tigard. Used to pull bluegill, perch, large mouth and small mouth (rock) bass and an ocasional trout out of that river years ago (1950-58)...

He spends most of his time far away and never talks to us anymore, but when he does he has to disrespect of his elders. Only problem is I'm not that much of a senior to him. In fact if the truth be known, he might just be older then me. I saw him on one of those BIG wheeled bycicles not long ago...Well...Actually...He was on the ground because a horseman ran him off the road... ROFL

Well hello 1895zz...Wher you been. Filling in pot...Oh that's right painting white lines...Such is the artist that you are... Very Happy
