Not sure where Oregon is in relation to your part of the world...is this trip a BIG one for ya mate? |
The Eastern boarder of Oregon is 2,250 miles or so from where I am going west. I will be taking the Greyhound (aka the coach bus) there. To see the Northern parts of the US along the way.

Not too sure going to do it like any other camping trip, got a list of a few places mainly in the Central/South East part and maybe Hells Canyon up north. And go to a few of them on a "why not" system (aka the Gut Feeling method of selecting places on the fly) and just have fun.

Going to go with Mountain House meals, never had MREs. At a rate of 2.5 per day camping. So "5 servings" a day according to the packaging.

Dimitri...Make sure you get the Mountain House servings for two...'Cause you will eat the whole thing. I know...I use them when I'm on horse back in the mountains and serving for one just isn't enough. Rather have too much then not enough...
By The Way...Mountain House is the best and most convenient...Just boil water, pour in bag, let set for 5 minutes and eat right out of the bag. NO DISHES to wash...

Will be doing that (as I mentioned in my post) or doubling the number of the small meals to 5 per day.
