Neat idea, it mounts to the side of your scope, then you can use any small movie camera on it. for $49.00 I just might have to try one.

It cracks me up when I see adds of this for bows expecially. Like I need more weight on the end of my bow. I'd also like to know how well a camera holds up to the recoil of a rifle shot.

Well we know a high quality rifle scope is built to handle heavy recoil but I dont know about how well fragile cameras would hold up. Could be pricy. I'd rather clamp my camera to a treestand or something if I'm just sitting there. For me its #1 making the shot, #2 trying to get video of the shot. Sooooo many times I've not had the camera ready and still taken the shot. Get it dead, and get it dead quick LOL

Well that is nice as it shows it but I think this one is better, but much more clostly as its a whole system not just a camara mount.

Wow, $1,400. Ouch!! I'm sure it's a nice camera, that's something for the guy who has everything. lol What's up with this?
The CVS-RS will not be sold outside of Canada. We reserve the right to refuse sale of the CVS to anyone who we feel may use it for purposes deemed unacceptable.

The camera mount is spring loaded to absorb forward and rearward motion through recoil. We saw the camera while the rifle was fired. The camera did not move but the rifle did move during recoil. I doubt the camera felt anything more than if you were hand holding it and moving it around. Nice setup but it's just something else that this old goat can leave at home because I would forget to turn the camera on at the right time.

Glockman,
To the question you asked its probably a disclaimer because they dont want some criminal lowlife go kill people with a scoped rifle then show off the vedios to be tracked back to them

Those fella at CVS must have been in dreamland. I wonder if anyone would fork out those kind of money to get one.
But seriously,
I am a prototype engineer, if anyone is thinking to get one of these cameras, I could built one similar to the CVS stuff for about $500 or cheaper if more than one unit ordered just PM me.
I have built a similar unit for a fishing enthusiast before, and got great footage of a marlin hitting the bait...

My son got me one for Christmas..It seems to be well built and light weight. Can't wait to film my first hunt.. but it's something that you would no use all the time, but for $50. plus the camera, hey why not..
