Typical liberal, anti-freedom ignorant dumb-a$$es. Never waste a good tragedy when it can serve to further your personal agenda. Lautenberg will Reintroduce Legislation Requiring Background Checks for Sale of Explosive Powder.

The Senator doesn't even realize that smokeless powder is not an explosive, just a flammable substance. But nobody tell him. Let him make an a$$ of himself like that Senator from CO who thought magazines were non-refillable.

Lautenberg Explosive Powder Bill

Omi, are you sure he isn't smart? He might become very smart in the near future when somebody can explain him something about dust-explosions and tell him some nice stories about the great performance of the ingredient sugar... ! Or does he rather prefer sawdust?

So.....reloading is making explosives? HHHhhmmmmnnnn wonder if the BATF knows what's goin on cause I bet there's a whole nuther set of regs for doin that. Of course it's already regulated but the good Senator wouldn't know that he's probably never bought any C-4 or TNT. Well in some circles gun powder is considered a low explosive (even though it doesn't detonate), but to generalize about such, is equal to calling my AR-15 an assualt rifle or fully automatic.

Low explosives are igniters for high explosives, like a blasting cap. Gun powder is considered a propellant and it burns (doesn't explode). So he's gining-up (to use an Obamaism) 90% of the administration to believe what we're dealing with is explosives. I'm sure 90% of the population will agree with him too, after his mis-use of explosives. I noticed that was a press release from his own people, so naturally an editor didn't question his use of the wrong wording, and frankly after watching these idiots for years use the wrong terminology for something they know nothing about, it doesn't surprise me, it horrifies me!

They do this on purpose ya know. Use a wrong, more dramatic, wording to get the point across. The general public (90%, according to Obama) is swayed by this mis-use and as a community organizer should know, it works in his favor. All they have to do is substitute the wrong word and a propellant turns into an explosive. A semi-auto rifle turns into an assualt weapon. A magazine turns into a clip and then turns into nothing when all the bullets are used up? I'm glad they don't work on cars, my old ride would be junked by now.

What further horrifies me is the fact that the government plays a hand in every sector of our lives. It's like that study they did a while back on Teflon. It's in our carpet, our food products, our bloodstream. We don't control it, it controls us. (the government...not Teflon) They only get enough information about something to make themselves feel informed, then they run with it, not paying attention to details and using only what wording they feel will convince 90% of that stupid majority.

If the government tells me to get a hair cut, they'll call it hair folicle re-inhansment to popularize it. I'll go to a hair folicle specialist (who seems to know what a hair folicle is because he/she has a degree in dermatology) because the government used that term, and I'll end up with some sort of surgery involving my folicles. That's ok because our new health care system is trustworthy (even though we didn't vote for it in it's current form) and my new affordable health insurance (which is more expensive than it used to be) will see me through this scalping of NDNs and I'll have witnessed the further indoctrination of the new diplomatic governmentspeak into my life.

They don't know there's a difference, they know they're close to what they mean and as long as it gets them what they want (with fallout or not they don't care). Doesn't work in engineering, doesn't work in toilet repair, doesn't work in farming or sewing or anything! They use it, it works for them. Someone always graduates last in the class but our administration should be held back a year or two, no they have failed. Call their parents and have them return the gowns, they won't graduate. Maybe they can dig they're own graves.....but not mine.

WTF!! What in the world is going on up in the north eastern part of the US? Now we have State rep Pete King NY calling for retail clerks to call police when someone try's to purchase a large amount of nails or bb's or beauty products!!

What if your in construction?

Tell your kid he has to go thru a background check before he can buy bb's for his crossman or sheridan gun.

He sounds like he's drunk too, a republican? I'm sic...this has gone too far, we're dropping from the sky like hail and we're only going to hit the ground hard, nothing between the us and the ground, just empty space, no death spiral, heavy winds or trees in our way, straight drop. They shouldn't have even given him aire time it's so stupid. How embarrasing that we have such mini-minds in charge of our security. If it was just some article someone wrote I'd think it was a mocking joke, but there he is in all his stupidity, tryin to hold his dentures in place without spitting too much on the microphone.

Note: gunpowder, ie black powder is classed as an explosive, unlike modern propellants.

Embarrassed to say, but ole Frank and I were born in the same city of Paterson, N.J. He drank the kool-aid, I didn't. He was the Democrat Senator from N.J. until his retirement in 2000, then he was pumped full of formaldehyde and put up for election again in 2002 after incumbent fellow Democrat Senator Bob Torricelli was facing Federal corruption charges. He's been cheating death and stalking the halls of the Senate ever since.
