Speaking of shipping bullets... I tried to ship someone some bullets (just the projectiles) this week and the local UPS Store refused to do it. I called UPS to see what the problem was, and they said there wasn't one as far as they were concerned. Apparently it was just the manager of that store being an ass. I ended up sending them USPS.

you dont ship "projectiles",you ship small metal parts........ the post service over here has gone bananas on anything "GUN" related...you cant send a scope.... but can send optical equipment.

today the postie dropped off another small, heavy package.....some hundred plus 130grn winchester SILVERTIPS...YIP thats right the old school alloy coated exposed lead type.....happy as a pup with two peckers....

Wait, the Nosler / Winchester combined technology Ballistic Silvertip? .277, 130gr?
I have a unopened box my brother gave me for a birthday like 30 years ago. It's just been sitting on a shelf all this time. IDK what shipping to NZ is like... I wish you were closer, I'd trade them to you for something.

nope...those you have are just fancy pants Nosler ballistic tips, sure they are a good projectile but these babies are the "old school" silvertips made by winchester....a basic soft point with thin alloy cover over the exposed lead tip, think coke can thin and big exposed tip...the funny part is the NEW deer season ammunition is basically going back to what these were...FAST expanding that dont get mashed up in magazine under recoil.I used the 150grn versions in both 30/30 and .308 and they were always top preformers...in the mighty .270 winchester they are something else....guys only complaint was they could blow up if hitting solid bone up close at high velocity.hmmmmm now where do we hear the same complaint these days???
personally never had issue with it happening for me. I have seen a wallabies lung exit far side of its body at 300ish yards when hit with one of these,I went across gully to animal just to make sure my eyes hadnt decieved me,sure enough bits of lung on ground behind very dead wallaby.

I have and shoot true Ballistic Tips in many different calibers, these predate any of those.
This is what I have, unopened... in .277 of course:

Guys up here warn not to use UPS, something about rape and pillage on "broker fees" for the cross border stuff. I've used USPS for the few things I've ordered from the U.S. and never a hitch
