Rant Rant Rant

News reported here today that the murdering LEO that shot and killed Australian woman Justine Ruszczyk in 2017, Mohamed Noor has had his conviction overturned by a US Court. Mad Does this mean he is to face Court again, or does it mean he is now considered innocent?

I think I’ve made my support for the Law Enforcement Community clear over the years…I support them 100%, always have and always will…when they are in the right and act fairly and honestly with reason, integrity and compassion. However, this decision by the US Court has me extremely angry.

This decision has shown me that the US does not have a “judicial system”, but actually a “legal system”…a system controlled to a high extent by politics and the legal fraternity (don’t forget from where Judges and Magistrates are drawn)! I know here in Australia, it’s not unheard of for Court officials and defence attorneys to socialise and have lunch together.

I sincerely hope that he is not now a free man, because what he did, and how he did it, in my mind makes him about as guilty as is possible for murdering Justine. I cannot, for even half a second, understand how the conviction was overturned! Personally, I believe he should be put to death for what he did, no argument.

The majority of the blame for this new decision must rest securely with bottom feeding, win at any cost and to hell with the truth, attorneys. As far as I’m concerned, they should be on the gurney beside him, facing the same penalty…death. I don’t know, yet, what defence they used to overturn the conviction, but I’ll bet my left nut that it is pure and simple BULLSH1T!! I doubt we will ever hear what defence they used, but I’ll be watching.

Agreed.
This is a clear case of murder to an innocent, yet there is not much public outrage compared to the murder of a fucking drug addict where all dummies took a knee.

Agree totally mate. The outrage in the US about the death of that criminal druggie was out of control, but I’ve seen nor heard anything about the way Noor murdered Justine. It’s almost like he is being protected. Mad Mad I know what I’d like to do. Very Happy

EDIT: Now here’s an interesting turn of events. The Defence lawyer for Noor is Tom Plunkett, an attorney involved with defending the former police officers charged with killing George Floyd. It seems to me that Plunkett may be a Police “ambulance chaser”. He is also one of the lawyers paid through a legal defense fund that’s part of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA).

https://www.mprnews.org/story/2020/10/20/defense-attorney-argues-to-move-trial-of-exofficers-in-george-floyds-killing

Defense attorney argues anew to move trial of ex-officers in George Floyd's killing

“The defense attorney for one of the former police officers charged in George Floyd’s killing is arguing that the trial should be moved from Minneapolis to avoid harassment by protesters.”
“ While he talked with reporters, protesters interrupted Earl Gray, the attorney defending former officer Thomas Lane. One man pursued Gray through the Hennepin County Government Center atrium as they shouted at one another. Plunkett, who represents former officer J. Alexander Kueng, alleged in his filing that the protester violated statute forbidding harassment that’s intended to disrupt a judicial proceeding.”

“ Defence lawyer Tom Plunkett concluded by saying Mr Noor, "will have to live with the fact he took an innocent life. That's a tragedy not a crime"..
What a joke. Plunkett admits in Court that Noor killed (in my mind murdered) an innocent person in Justine Ruszczyk and says it’s not a crime!?!? What if it was one of us that did the same thing…would he argue the same? What is a crime is the attitude of the attorney!!!

Dallan, it happened in Minneapolis. Woman called police to report a possible assault. Responding cop shot her when she approached the car to talk to them.

Vince,
From what I can gather from our oh so accurate media, it is his MURDER conviction that has been overturned, the courst of second guesses didnt think this was a pre meditated act.
However, he niw has to face a trial for MANSLAUGHTER, difference being that the victim is dead but killing her wasnt a premediated act.
So he may make bail or he may be held on remand for his next trial, max sentence is around 10 years, he got 12 for his current sentence, so he may nearly get similar gaol time or with time served he may get bail in the next 18 months.
Let the system do its job.

I’d feel a lot better about things if I thought the system could be trusted to be fair and do the right thing mate. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. I like to apply the “reasonable person” concept where things are looked at as reasonable person and how they would view the actions of the incident.

The bottom feeder representing Noor had, in my mind, used bullsh1t defences to try to save his client. Long story short…Noor, sitting in the passenger seat of the Police cruiser, pulled his gun and shot across the front of his partner who was sitting in the drivers seat, killing Justine. If I was his partner I would have belted p1ss and pick handles out of Noor just for shooting the way he did!

Have a look at this link…it gives a reasonable account of the events of that night:
