Roe Pricket
|
Taken in Hampshire, UK. Rifle is a Remington 700 .243 in a Choate stock. Brilliant set up but it had to go as everyone laughed at it when I went shooting...
In the UK, we usually wear camo or greens when out shooting. This pricket was called in by a shooting pal - thanks Mark - and dropped like a sack of spuds at about 120 yards. Typically, deer are taken with shots into the 'engine room' and at very short range - less than 50 yards. The newer thinking is to take longer shots and through the head - most rifle's are capable of it but most shooters are not! This one is about 1 rib back from where it should be but was still an instant clean kill.
