I had no idea they wer'e in bad shape . Hopefully a quality minded Co with some Integrity will buy it and keep up the long standing tradition of quality firearms that winchester is known for.

My local gun shop received a communication today from U.S. Repeating Arms that said effective the end of March 2006, they would cease production of Model 70s, 94s and 1300s. All the best...

You have got to be kidding. How could you go to the gun shop and not see a new Winchester or even go to Wal-Mart and not see Winchesters. It will be a sad day for sure.

I was shocked when I heard last year Winchester was discontinuing the model 9422,but apparently that was just part of a bigger picture. I have two, a 22LR and a 22 Mag,great little rifles.

I read somewhere its aready went bankrupt 2 times (not sure if its true or not) so whats not to say it wont come back the 3rd time ?? Confused
