The Great Smokey Mountains National Park is a beautiful location for a few days of R&R. A drive through Cades Cove loop is a must, plenty of native wildlife. Be sure to bring a camera as firearms are not allowed in the park. Shocked

Gatlinburg and nearby Pigeon Forge have good places to stay and things to do/see. Lots of attractions, shops, eateries and Dolly Parton's Dollywood. Smile

I shot the Remington 552 Speedmaster today and had a mixed bag outcome. The barrel is slightly ringed or bulged about 8 inches back from the muzzle. This did not affect accuracy and at 50 yards this gun will shoot very tight groups! There are problems with feeding and misfires and more than 50 percent of the rounds did not go off. I see signs that someone has taken this rifle apart and will ask my local gunsmith to check it out. The other guns look just fine. I will start shooting them, next weekend (our club range was closed today for an archery shoot). All the best...
