Ducks I will use 12ga 3"or 3 /12" or 10ga 3 1/2" usually #2 or 3. Geese and swans 10ga or 12ga 3 1/2" BB. When I am just chaseing the big birds it is 10ga all the way.

Wiersy, yuo should go to Saskatchewan one year up to the Quill Lakes region.
You will not believe the concentration of Canadas and snow geese and ducks.
Good hunting!

10 gauge! How big is your recoil pad? Sounds like a modern bunt gun!

Wait a minute (WAM), Vince. He didn't show any pictures. How do we know it was real?
wiersy, 26 birds in one day!?! You could spell stovey real easily with that many.
Don't they have limits up there. Our dove season closed Monday and we are only allowed 15 birds a day. I think that is too limit ammunition sales. Hardly a meal for 2.

Was that using splintex through a 120mm smoothbore? |
I don't see he mentioned 26 birds WITH 1 SHOT...
for your info: a friend managed to shoot 9 doves with 2 shots out of his cal 12 O/U this year during damaging control. He had 8 doves with the first shot and shot the 9th while they flew away...
with steel shot and no, all were not killed on the spot, the dogs had to help a lot.
and no, I don't have pictures of this eather
and for the freaks: he was using a Miroku skeet O/U
