Pumpkin, that's a part of Belgium stolen from us by the Dutch. They did the same on the Eastside of our country where they have stolen Limburg.
In Limburg there was cole. In Zeeland you can put a brake on the harbour of Antwerp (and favorise Rotterdam).
They always have been clever businessmen. So when you meet them, keep you pockets closed and don't always believe what they are telling
Without knowing it you're touching the origine of Belgium. We play buffer between the Dutch and the French (and Germany and Great-Brittain).
Isn't so that to immigrate New-Zealand you have to bring a respectfull amount of cash with you? Who voted that rule? Do I smell dutch influence?
Don't be mistaken: some of my best friends are from the Netherlands, but we keep the difference alive (all be it with jokes).

Stand back when the aussies and kiwi's start in on each other, the jokes are to say the least "cutting" at times, usually in the nicest possible way.....

We would never do that would we mate...we would never take the mickey out of our mates across the Tasman...never mention sheep, or underarm bowling or anything like that, surely.

The sheep jokes are a given, both sides know that.
The under arm bowling incident and the resulting fallout, that would be the closest that the anzacs came to being in a real shooting war with each other.

Your road trips sound like a hoot, but my question back; is "Wank" a real town in USA - my kids reckon it is, you gotta be kidding me!
I know of Wankie National Park in South Africa!

No town called wank in the US, but we have some rather unique town names.
Ballplay (Tennessee)
Beaver Crossing (Nebraska)
Climax (Colorado)
Cockland (Ohio)
Cooter (Missouri)
Ding Dong (Texas)
and the list goes on, but I think Spain has the #1 city name, cun*.
close 2nd would be Fu*king, (Austria).
