Yes, they are the same. What is the twist rate of your rifle? I would go with a bullet between 60gr - 65gr, RL15 powder and Fed match grade primers.

I load 52 grain Sierra HPBT (#1410) over 32.8 grains of Varget in Winchester brass and Winchester LR primers to use in my .22-250 T/C Encore barrel, with sub 1/2" 3 shot groups. You can see a couple photos here:

I love the 55grn Speer Spitzer boat tails. I really don't want to post the powder amount as I shoot them in a Rugar #1V that is one scary rifle... the hotter they go the tighter the groups.

Accurate MR223 and Varget are my 2 favorite powders for the .22-250

I load the Hornady 52 gr A-max in mine at 3700/3800 fps (chronographed) with either Varget or WW760. My 22-250 has a 1:14 twist so it stabilizes the lighter bullets very well. You didn't say what manufacturers rifle/model you are loading for so it is hard to say what gr bullet would be best in your .22-250. I would load as light as your rifling will let you and still staying accurate. I'm sure a bullet in the mid 50's gr area would work fine. 60 gr and larger bullets are ok if you want to use it on deer sized game but there are better calibers for that. You certainly don't need them for the varmints the .22-250 was designed for.

By the way, hunterjoe, that's a fairly light load in your .22-250 but as long as it's accurate that's what matters. My .22-250 likes them on the hotter side. Smile

Amazing isn't it? I find the same in my 22/250 1B...actually all of my #1s like the hotter loads.

My old .22-250 Sako loves Barnes 36 gr. Grenades and a charge of Varget I won't reveal. Well under 1" and over 4,000 fps tho. Dim, what a mess it makes of whistle pigs.
