Amazing that this happened in one of the most Democratic strong states. Maybe the American people really are waking up!!! This however, is just the beginning if the country is going to be turned around.

Obama will have to make sure we get plenty of Haiti coverage on national news, cause he's gonna haveta think this one over fer a while. The Democrats can always wait to swear him in until after the health care thing is a done deal, but they've said they'll seat him as soon as the paper work is done. That's not bathroom talk is it? Anyway I hope Brown kicks a$$ and watches his constituents. Hopefully he's not a all-words(to get me elected)-no-action kinda guy. Seen enough of that.

You mean like our present so called "leadership".
Let's hope and pray that it is, for real, a turn-around for our country. The way we're headed right now has our founding fathers, not just turning over but doing flips in thier graves.

I gave up expecting any real change as long as the same two parties are involved. Lets face it they have both been doing pretty much the same thing in different ways since FDR.
I am still hoping that people will wake up one November and all vote Libertarian.

Agreed Paul, but dont hold your breath.... I dont think people in general are ready for the Libertarians, The media likes to make them out like a bunch of right wing extremist kooks..... once they get past that misconception, then, we will have a chance to have a return to common sense

I'm looking for a news link but I've been hearing that the Independent turn out was very high and young voters that voted for Obama turned out for Brown. They didn't want a change to a bigger more intrusive government. I'll post some analysis if I find it. The inspiration in all this is that Mass. is the strongest Democratic state in the Union.

Its great news, it should be a massive wakeup call for the Democratic party, that a republican underdog can rise up and take over the bluest senate seat in the nation.
It will be mighty interesting to see what happens between now and the next senate election.

Not everyone that voted Obama is still drinking the kool-aid. The Dem's cut their own throat w/ swelling Govt. and taking the health care thing behind closed doors, failing to come clean or fulfilling any campaing promises.
Sure, there's some cling-on's that are too stupid to see the forest for the trees- like my idiot neighbor STILL with the bumper stickers, but some of them young, smart one's realised what is really going on.
Step One in a long march....

Heres a pretty funny video. To give a little background the overall clip is fairly famous, I have no idea where it came from originally... but people keep re-using it with compeltely different subtitles making it "new" again. I've seen half a dozen "different" uses of it so far.
This edit with the recient election results is pretty darn funny.

Oh my Gawd that was good. Thanks Dallan!
From Christian Science Monitor:
A far-reaching overhaul of the healthcare system, close to completion before the Massachusetts vote, may now be beyond reach. A second economic stimulus package, already a steep legislative climb amid concerns over government spending, just got steeper. Financial regulatory reform is in doubt. Climate-change legislation is probably off the table.
One major poll found the antitax “tea party” movement more popular than either major party.

Obama's press conferance yesterday with the Mayor's Meeting was laughable. People are also finaly seeing him for what he is- an empty puppet.
Obama could not turn this place around on his own if he wanted to. He's a product of the power mongers that got him there, regardless of what he says "he" will do on TV. What a load. Him and his wife, The Czarina of Health (lmfao), are completly useless.
Pellosi's PC Q&A was a complete joke as usual. Every question she answered contained the words "we will hold the ins. companies accountable" at least 3 times. Talking in incomplete circles like a drunk, eyes rolling around in her ancient skull. Her and Nepalatano- totaly damn useless.
Here's some good reading- fact, not fiction. Share with the sheeple if you wish.

Brown winning was huge. Where it goes from there, who knows. You can bet Washington is circling the wagons though. Pellosi even took notice.
