man they are naasti. fireing the 151s through an old wasing machine case the in holes are about .45 and out holes bigger still!!!
I will try the 160s a bit faster
trying to keep 151s below 1050 so there is no sonic crack.
got all rifles sighted in tonight.

today I bit the bullet and took lad with me and gave him .22 to use....
cut us both a thin stick to use as prop as we have been only getting standing shots.
got out of vehicle and into area and I spot a big hare but cant shoot safely as house inline....good learning curve for lad.
we go forward a few meters and spot something down below us in long grass..cant quite make out what is is...get lad to load up and set up over a handy post and move along 10yards."yip its a hare. have you got a shot? what can you see??" I ask
"head and body" says son
"take it"
pit thump..over keels his first kill with the .22
I get him to open bolt lay rifle down and go collect hare. he comes back with big grin
we carry on and I miss rabbit at 50 odd yards
then redeem my self with a good shot on not the hugest rabbit.(thats no gut shot Vince). the lad misses 2 further bunnies but we both had a good time.
a great outing as successful and good positive learning for lad

That's a monster Elvis...well done mate, and well done to your young fella as well...both damn fine shots.

There's a coupl'a nice stews in those two bunnies mate, although that big hare might be a bit tough...will need stewing all day in a Crockpot to tenderise I reckon.

2 minutes tops in the frypan mate..treat cubes of hare like venison and other than size you will struggle to tell the difference.
