Has anybody loaded a 100gn Nosler BT for this round? I have a 700 MTN rifle in a 260 and would like to use it on Yotes and such. I picked up Nosler 100gn BTs (2nds)at the Nosler Pro Shop pretty cheap.

.260 Rem varmint loads are on my "to do" list but so far I've only experimented with 129, 140 and 160 grain bullets. If you get something worked up I hope you'll post it here.

I was hoping to tackle this after hunting season. I'll post back what I come up with.

Sorry I missed this post: I shoot the 85 / 100 / 120 Sierra in my 260 guns (5). The 260 is an excellent long distance round thus a good varmint round as well. Here are three loads that seem to shoot in each of my guns:

*H414 at 49 gr with 85gr Sierra at 3,356 fps group .5 bullet set in case .125 Remington brass Federal 210 Primers
you may go to 50 gr without pressure signs in some guns but group opens to 1.5 inches. One gun ran 3,500 fps with 49gr and shot .111 groups

*H414 at 49 gr with Sierra 100gr at 3,261 fps group .367 bullet set .003 off lands

*H414 at 48 gr with Sierra 120MK at 3,206 fps group .146 bullet set .003 off lands
This load is also used in my AR-10T in 260 it produces flat primers in the AR

Hope this helps you. All of my guns are custom, have a 1-8 twist match barrels by different barrel makers.
Best,
Ed
