Looking for any help on powder selection and charge weights for this bullet as am loading for a faster / flatter performing round for the great wide open country I am hunting in these days. I have a Win. model 70 pre 1964 westerner that I had the short throat lengthened out a bit to accomodate standard 140 gr bullets for hand loading. This was a great move on my part as got some good performance there for my $$$$ . I am looking to get over 3,000 fps out of these 125 partions and would very much appreciate any help you may give me on this one .

Welcome to the HuntingNut 10 spot I use to have a .264 win mag I shot mostly the 120 grain Nosler B-T and the 125 grain Partition I used IMR 4350 I believe it was 60 grains but max load in Noslers # 3 manual is 59.5. If I'm not mistaken I was getting almost 3200 fps with the 26" barrel.

I've been playing with a 264 win mag for five years now and the 125 nosler partitions have performed the best so far over a max load of 4831. Consistently shots under 1" out of a sporter weight winchester M70.
