I going to check out a savage 99a 243 tomorrow. I am have been considering getting another .243 and this one just happen to become available the other day. I have wanted a savage 99 for quite some time but I really was looking at getting one in a 7-30 waters or a 300 savage. Anyway It sounds like it may turn out to be a good deal so I am not sure i can pass it up. Its got a new scope on it and the bore is in great shape. The guy that has it only wants $400 for it and everyone I have looked at as of late are going for a lot more than that. If its not a great deal I will still get it from him most likely as his wife needs the money. I cannot wait to check it out.

Sounds like a good buy. Prices of 99s jumped a lot in the last few years and $400 is a good price compared to most I have seen. Good luck and keep us posted.
