Here we go again. Seems as though we cannot get enough election year drama. Sad thing is, the liberals and socialists will never stop trying.

Those socialist scums make me crazy! You're right; they'll never stop trying until they get a congress and president that will give them anything they want.
All I can say is: What assault weapons? Come and look all you want. I don't have any! I'm already on the concealed carry list, and probably branded an outlaw because of it.

And just because someone is a Republican, doesn't mean they are conservative. There are liberal leftist Republicans. There are conservative Dems. Republican or Democrat is a very thin lable that needs to be evaluated based on voting records.

Handloader,
You are absolutely right! Look at the liberal leftest Republican that's running for president.
Take a couple of clothes pins to the voting booth, just in case one of them falls off!

Our choice for President is Bad and Worst.
The more I hear McCain talk, the less I feel like voting for him.
The more I hear Obama talk, the more I can understand why every leftist, muslim terrorist has endorsed him.
Like Cary says, bring two close pins to the voting booth.
It's getting where you can't trust the Republicans any more than the democrats.

Since when could you trust those guys in Washington?
Every new guy/gal goes there with the intent on doing something right for the country. When they get to Washington they fall in with the good old boys or they get smeared and are out of office in one term.
I believe we should do like the new president of Chezkoslavia--he went into office and fired everyone on the police force from the head down to the tail-cleaned them out. He said that when something is as corrupt as the police force was it needed total overhaul.
I believe we need that in Washington today. Total Overhaul. All those people in washington do is collect a paycheck and screw up shit that has worked.

Don't get your hopes up--the only thing between the two parties is the stink. Some of us are used to one and not the other.

I agree with you Wildhorse.
I call myself an Independent Conservative.
I couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I was to call myself a Republican.
Both Parties stink to high Heaven as far as I'm concerned.

You have more than two choices for president, senate and the house. In this country (USA) we have a lot more choices for offices than the two parties are offering. If enough people vote for them they will be the dominant party and not a "third" party. I prefer a minimalist Federal government so i vote Libertarian. It is a realistic choice for me. Just remember that the president doesn't make the laws he just signs them into law or rejects them with a veto that can be over ridden with a vote from congress. Whatch who you vote into the senate - that is where the power is.

PaulS,
I agree with the need for a different mind set in Washington, but I don't believe it will be a Libertarian. Some parts of their platform are good, but on others, I can't go along with.
It's going to take a total collapse of the Republican Party and national turmoil before a viable conservative or constitutional party will emerge. The third party will never come from the lock-step socialist Democrats. It just ain't gona happen. You can't change the mind-set of a sheep. Once a sheep, always a sheep.
We need the silent majority to start getting aggressive, and make demands of our representatives.
Cary
