The Canadian Shooting Sports Association and the Canadian Institute for Legislative Action is asking for the support of all lawful gun owners across Canada and the U.S. by completely boycotting business and tourism in the City of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Please read on….

Mayor David Miller of Toronto for a long time now has been trying to focus the blame for gun crime/violence on law abiding gun owners instead of where it belongs on the criminal gangs and illegal guns.

For some time Miller has been unsuccessfully calling for and lobbying the federal government for a complete nation wide handgun ban.

He now has a new tactic. His latest effort “in fighting crime” is to:
-Close the Scarborough Rifle Club (which is used by juniors, national & international shooters).
-Close the CNRA Handgun Club (a training range for Olympic Competitor Avianna Chao for the upcoming Beijing Olympics).
- Prohibit any business from the manufacture, assembly, warehousing or distribution of firearms (Para Ordnance Handguns are manufactured in Toronto and distributed worldwide).

It is unbelievable that on the pretense of fighting gun crime he would take such action against law abiding people and their lawful and legitimate recreational use of firearms.

Mayor Miller has targeted the two million legal owners of firearms in Canada and his statements cast aspersion upon the 80 million lawful firearms owners of our closest friend and ally, the United States of America.

Some of his quotes:
The U.S. is exporting its problem of violence to the streets of Toronto

This should come as no surprise, there’s a complete lack of common sense in the US

There’s a heck of a lot of Americans who believe in common sense gun control. Maybe they’ll wake up and discover that they’re exporting literal death to the streets of Toronto and other Canadian cities.

Mayor Miller and his ilk is the scourge of lawful gun owners everywhere. Please send the following link to all your friends and associates.

Your E-mail to Mayor Miller will inform him this message is getting out to gun owners across the county.

These people are judging others based on their own morality (which is really low)
When asked if they could guarantee that the crime rates could came down IF you hand in your gun, they will spin some other cock and bull stories about why it doesnt fix the problem.

Its easier to get some publicity as "The man who got rid of x and x number of guns from the street", rather than " the man who got rid of crime on the street".
Why? because LEGAL gun owners have their addresses registered, so they are easier to find.

My condolences to you Canadians... Oz laws are more or less the same nowadays.

Maybe Toronto Mayor David Miller should look within his own society. Could it possibly be that Toronto is breeding his own, homegrown, bunch of criminals, along wit the rest of the urban blight that has affected every nation in the world?!!!!!!!!

(Some of his quotes:
The U.S. is exporting its problem of violence to the streets of Toronto.
This should come as no surprise, there’s a complete lack of common sense in the US)

Here's a quote from Cary--"I have yet to see a gun, crawl out of it's case or underwear drawer, slither down the street and attack some innocent bystander, or rob a convenience store!"

You can take that to the bank!

Cary

Anyone else ever consider that the more control over sociey liberals attain the worse things get? And their response is to whine is that they just don't yet have enough control over the people so their freedom needs to be further limited?

If total government control equaled total safety would not prisons be the safest places on earth?

I hope Miller doesn't get re-elected but the socialists in Toronto seem to have it down pat on how to elect idiots to power.

wncchester,

You're absolutely right! In prisons, you can get killed with someone's bare hands, at a higher rate per capita than any other place in our society.

Dimitri,

I guess there's no shortage of idiots, no matter where you’re at.

Vint,

The banning of hand sized rocks comes right behind sling shots, and sticks.

Cary

Yes, and once the ball gets rolling there are tons of items with potential for mayhem that can be included and we will wind up back in the stone age, or worse!!!!!!

I couldn't resist tweaking the cut & paste in my email...

Dear Mayor Miller,

I've been to Ontario over a dozen times in the last fifteen years to hunt and fish and am one of the millions of people that responsibly own firearms. I clearly understand that firearms owners are not welcome in the City of Toronto and I will respect your wishes. I will not visit your city and spend my money there. As well, I will tell others of my decision and encourage them to do the same. In fact, I've placed the whole country of Canada on my "Do Not Visit" list...I'll spend my money rigght here in the good 'ol USA were my dollars are much more welcome... along with my favorite hunting rifle.

Sincerely,

Gary James Ivory
And in the subject line I wrote "Vacation in Canada"
