I agree with Pumkinslinger. McCain isn't the best we have, but he is the best we have for a choice this time around.

Eric...As far as not voting. That will insure that a democrat gets elected and none of them even come as close as McCain to being a viable president...

A few years ago Mike, my Family and I, ran into five Secret Service Agents at the "Field of Dreams" in Iowa.
They had just finished guarding President Bush.
We all got to talking about Clinton and Hillary, and the Agents told us stories about how bad the Clintons were.
Hillary was a first class jerk to all around her, and Bill was scared to death of the little lady.

I just cooked salmon for lunch.
Boy, I have to be two people.
One person just can't cook that good.

I'm a little off topic, but the euphoria of just eating a fine salmon meal got to me. Very Happy Very Happy

I have a secret family recipe (mine) for salmon, but you'll have to bring some of that salmon down here to find out just how good it is...

There is always the Libertarian candidates. At least they belive in supporting the constitution. Ya just can't go too far wrong if you stick to the document that we were founded on.

wtf I've been following this thread for a while and holding back comment
but IMHFO-I will never vote for our OBOMBO demo, and I had(past tense)reservations on McCain, but wait- there might be a silver lining to this cloud of an election!Look at who McCain might have as a vice pres.McCain is (I heard) the oldest presidential candidate, and if he wins-the oldest president. Now if he were to have health issues,or(not wishing it)vapor lock while in office-his"second" would assume the reigns of the U.S.,and then we might see even greater changes(hopefully for the better).Another thing to point out is that politicians say all kinds of things during a campain that they are never really held accountable for after elected.Maybe McCain will be one that has worked at BSing his colleges into believing that he has a liberal agenda-but was just waiting to get into the highest office to get things in this country back on an even keel.....just food for thought! Razz Razz

How many of you actually think that YOU elect the president? Are you one of the privileged few that casts an electoral vote? The popular vote has already been cast aside by the electoral college vote.

Waste your vote? That is what happens when you vote for something you don't believe in. I won't waste my vote when I vote for Ron Paul. I'll tell them what I think. He is the only one that represents my values, and isn't that what your vote is supposed to indicate?

It isn't about picking who will win, it's about telling them what you think. Tell them you settle for something less, guess what you'll get. Too many people have not expressed their true feelings thinking they must be politically correct.

For Sale: One slightly used soap box. Free to a good home.

Mike,

I may be totally wrong but most states have winner take all for the Electors votes, so if in AZ, even 0.1% more people vote for the Republicans then all the Electors are to vote Republican. Which means your vote does count, even if its indirectly doesn't it ?? Confused

Dimitri

If our votes don't count why did we have all of the stupid hassle in Florida that had to be settled by the supreme court??????? The dems were trying to make sure that that vote was tipped by their mishandling of the reocunt!!!!!! Smile

A person HAS to vote for McCain, or the Irishman will be President.
That's all that we need.
