POP!! thanks for the post on the Nosler E-Tip. Two reactions come to mind, first that it is an acknowledgment of how deeply Barnes TSX has penetrated (ahem) the premium bullet market and, secondly, that there will be a continuing trend toward lead free bullets.

In several hunt units of Arizona, lead free bullets are highly recommended for big game due to lead ingestion from condors eating from gut piles. More significantly, we have eliminated lead on ducks and geese, more and more indoor ranges are prohibiting lead bullets, and there is a developing sentiment that lead is bad for everything human.

I wonder how much of the hype is fringe PC rearing its ugly head and creating another issue in which choices by the gun culture are further limited? Of course, I also wonder if the next solar maximum will wipe out civilization or merely destroy cell phones and all bank records?

Man I wish I had known they were coming out with this... I *love* noslers bullets, partition in particular. I like the idea of pure copper bullets but always have a fear of the XBullets not opening up. This bullet looks to be the best of all worlds. A large opening in the front of the bullet to aid in expansion, but the polymer insert to preserve its SD.

I'm sad I just bought a box of Tripleshock to try out... I havent reloaded any yet, I'd have rather spent the momey on these bullets.

A little more than the partition. Not bad at all.

If you go to the nosler forums there is more info. As soon as I get more info I will post here.

They work great on wild boars and their accuracy is up there with AB BT's.

Anyone else seen the Lapua Naturalis video? They fire conventional and Naturalis bullets through a 5" diameter bone in the middle of a block of ballistic gelatine. It's scarey how much lead dust and debris ends up as a big cloud in the meat.
