Yup...And it wasn't build up either. I got a spray can from Midway and tried it on my .30-30 and it seems to do OK on them. But when I started on my .30-06 cases after the 6th one I was in my shop with vice, hammer and drift punch. Said O K...We'll try it again. After the third trip to the shop I put it on the shelf. I did find a good use for One Shot though. It takes the squeek out of my wife's damned rockin' chair...Now I can hear the TV...
Moose2...Probably a good thing you couldn't find that spray wax...givin' yer wife'n all...

well just starting out into the reloading i had got the dies from a brother in law and didnt know how gooed they were, i cleaned them up with a good degreaser to make sure they were clean and just use the rcbs pad lube, and after a couple hundred rounds, i went and did a relube on the pad, and the "drag" went away so..

I used to use the RCBS lube pad but some years ago I switched to the RCBS Case Slick Spray Lube and I like it a lot better.

I've talked to several guys about this and it seems, for some reason, One Shot just doesn't like .30-06 cases...

I saw someone else likes the Imperial Sizing Die wax. I started with RCBS "lube" that came with my kit. If I had to go back to it I would quit reloading. Grapevine sap is less messy. I like the Imperial wax. I've used it for many years now and the can is still over half full. It outlasts anything I've ever seen.

I use the Imperial Sizing Die wax, too, for some things. For case forming or other tough sizing jobs, it does a great job.
For high volume jobs, like sizing 50 cases or more at a session, I use the spray lubes. Hornady One Shot, Midway, whatever I happen to have. I haven't had any problems with them, and they sure are convenient.
For the spray lubes, I do think it's critical to follow the directions- particularly where it says to spray some into the sizing die before you begin sizing.
I've used graphite or mica as a neck sizing lube, too. For very light neck sizing jobs, it works ok.
I haven't used those ink pad set ups in a long, long time- too messy, and no faster than Imperial Wax. Imperial is better, IMO.

Bought a small bottle of Pacific Case Lube about a hunnerd years ago...well 25 really. I still have about a third of it left. It is a little sticky and messy, but it does a great job....never had a problem with it. Just give the sizing dies a clean with CRC Brakleen ever now and again and I'm laughin'.
I have used various methods of applying it....fingers, cloth and now I use a pad I made. All have worked well. When I eventually run out of this stuff I'll either be too old to shoot or we'll be using ray guns .
Cheers, Vince

Started out with a concoction called Eagle Blood. Fingers, rub it on , (The CASES, Bushy, the cases! ) Messy, used the bottle, didn't buy any more. Haven't used a case pad yet, although they have been doing great for lots of years.
Then I tried the Lee stuff, which was o.k.
Next came Hornady spray on stuff, have loved it till now. No more oil dents!, but, I have stuck a couple of cases.
I had a conversation with a young lady at RCBS today (Hmmmm... GIRLS that know stuff about reloading... I like it! ) She gave me some technical advice about polishing the inside of my dies, and mentioned in passing that "some" case lubes have a wax base, which can gum up the works. Of course, RCBS spray lube doesn't . I may try some just to see.
The Imperial wax sounds good, too.

Hmmmm...thought I was just going along with what has been done before. Maybe not, though. Will cease forthwith. Thanks.

"Feelings" Sniper? What are they? I dish it out. If I want to continue to dish it out, I had better be able to take it in return. I will personally let you know when you have hurt my"feelings". Believe me. You will know. I am basically a very happy person. So high on life that I sometimes drive people to drink (jealous I think ).
You hurt my "feelings" thinking you hurt my "feelings".
Now!! Where were we??
