Since I tore the distal bicep tendon off the bone last fall I ended up not being able to hunt last fall. So i decided to let my sons girlfriend and her son use it since it is a nice warm enclosed stand. Well opening morning She missed a big buck and five minutes later she kills an even bigger massive 8 point. then a half hour after my son gutted that fella out she shot a real nice big doe. With my arm in a immobilizer I told them they had to take care of all of the processing and packaging themselves, I couldn't do anything. My son works on the road so that meant he had to be done by Sunday night.

Outstanding luck on her part mate…unlucky for you though. Not only an injured arm, but you missed out on harvesting both great critters. I hope they will remember your sacrifice and send you some choice cuts when they are butchering. Hopefully your arm will be right come the next opportunity to get out there.

Those were some very nice animals. Even though he was an 8 point he was massive, one of the biggest we have ever harvested.

Season was just 2 weeks after surgery. I contemplated going but SWMBO put her foot down very firmly on that thought.
