While visiting my daughter last Sunday I was roaming around the farm before heading home. As I walked through an old, unused chicken house I saw these tracks. Barefoot or bear foot? Track was 10-11" long with a 41" stride, heel to heel.

I asked my daughter, son-in-law and his father if they'd been out there barefoot and all said no. I started wondering about a bear but couldn't see any claw marks or front paw. I was thinking maybe a bear had run through and the hind foot landed on top of the front foot tracks. I sent the pics to my other daughter's father-in-law because they have bears in their yard at times. He also thought what I was thinking.





Well, today my son-in-law confessed. Last week a rooster flogged my daughter and he was chasing it to pen it up. He'd been wearing flip-flops and ditched them while running. When I asked about the tracks he saw an opportunity to play a joke on me and Katie. He planned to tell us that he'd found some strange hairs in the chicken house too. But he couldn't pull it off with a straight face.

Turned out that my other s-i-l was right. He said it was probably some crazy redneck.

The cheeky bugger…but I think this is how most, if not all, Sasquatch or Big Foot stories start mate.

Damn kids!
