Dallan, how will this impact you besides not being able to share good pictures? When some people were selling trail cam pictures with coordinates, they kind of ruined it for everybody.

They also banned all thermal devices! You couldn't do that in TX with all the hogs we have.

Nevada already banned trailcams during hunting season.

IMO, this will effect the bigger guides. The average guy, who knows yet. I ran a camera on our family property, which got sold last year. So my cam is sitting on a shelf. I've never used it to hunt, just to get some cool pictures over the years.

The biggest problem are the new cams with cellular service like a phone, and can send out pictures realtime to the owners. Some of the bigger guides run 5-600 of them through out the mountains. So yea, that is a problem where the normal hunter cannot compete.

As for thermal, we've had a law against "light enhancement devices" for decades now. I've argued for years now modern "smart" Cell Phones should be banned under this. People digiscope with them, and due to the light enhancement of the camera, you can clearly see animals in low light / dark conditions. All with a phone.

So... overall, wont affect me in the slightest. There's a huge discussion over what the law in general even means, who it applies to etc etc. We need more info to clarify the rule.

I primarily use my cameras to pattern the hogs. I run the property to check the cameras and grounds to make sure there are no new obstacles to negotiate in the dark. With the intel from the cameras, I layout my plan for the evening.
