My oldest is an H prefix VXII-3x9
Got it from my dad, it has a beautiful purple'ish hue to it as its changed over the years. Its mounted on a Ruger #1V in 22-250 I bought in 1984 after working an entire summer. I still have the original receipt

I have four:
3-9x33 VX-2 rimfire 2007
3-10x40 VX-3 2007
Silver (it's on a stainless steel & grey laminate Ruger) 3-10x40 VX-3 2009
6x42 VX2 2010
I still have all the boxes, paperwork, etc.
All fitted with Leupold Alumina flip caps because they're the best I've come across, bar none.
Did I say I like Leupold scopes?

1988 super compact M8 4X
1993 semi compact M8 4X
pre1974 m8 4x AWESOME scope
3x9x40mm vx1 2011
agree they arent the best scope on market but pretty plurry hard to go past for value for money,that guarantee is tops.

prefix e =1974------z=1992
suffix a=1993------y=2013
2014=AA
2015=AB
there is no I or O as they can be mistook for numerals.

I have to admit to also owning a 4x32 Tasco Pronghorn of indeterminate age & Chinee manufacture, which sits on my Sharps Innova ratting air rifle (the night time ratter is a suppressed Weihrauch HW85 wearing Pulsar N550 NV...).
Got a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest on an L1A1 over in the US & my foxing 22-250 wears a Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56 PMII, mostly for its functionality in low light conditions.
I just wish my eyes were still up to using iron sights out past 100yds...

I recall a few years ago buying a cheap 2nd hand 4x32 nikko stirling to go on main hunting rifle as couldnt afford anything else..it lasted 6 months.

I have an X on a 4x E.E.R. I bought together with my first revolver, a S&W model 29 in .44 RM with an 8 3/8" barrel. And now you make me wondering: did I buy that revolver before or after 1990?
And I made a mistake that time: I should have chosen the 2x because 4x was not that good on a handgun...
That Leupold is now on my Winchester lever action in .44 RM, but I still didn't shoot roedeer with it. Extended Eye Relief is not the best choise in low light conditions...

The wee pig Plex 1_4 is awesome wee scope.a 1_5 would probably be nicer still. The turkey Plex has nicer reticle with circle of death around fine centre Xhair. Love my Leupold.
