MATE........Taipans,now you talking my kind of load.....they are just too good to poke holes in paper, awesome terminal expansion. it would be good pairing when you look at it...slower softer BP load with soft projectiles....

I still have some Taipan 174grners if thats OK

Thanks Pete, but the idea of black is way down the track right now...I need to get the rifle shooting as well as it can before I start playing with “fun” loads. At this time it re-zero after changing scope rings, then roll up some loads with the remaining jacketed bullets I have...and a few cast ones as well.

Elvis, once the Taipan .303 offerings become available again, I intend buying some to give them a go as I’ve heard very good reports about them.

Right now reloading is furthest from my mind though...Christmas is fast approaching and SWMBO has a “Honey Do list”. Although, I can’t do much at the moment...I had a skin cancer (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) cut from the back of my right hand a few days ago. The Dr had to go big because it had started putting roots out, so a “plug” 3/4” round and deep, and a cut about 2 1/2” long down to my wrist. Things are pretty swollen and the sutures pulling are a tad painful. Should be right just after Christmas apparently...I hope.

Get that cancer fast! My wife has gone through several of of those removals in the last few months. They have all healed nicely but the doctor isn't sure that it has ended yet. Another appointment next month.

I hope they got it all Vince.
It was a squamous that hammered me 10 years ago, got into the lymph nodes in my neck, you now the rest.
So apart from that merry chrismas, with luck the humidity may drop under 100%.

Thanks guys. I am hoping they got it all...he certainly “hooked in” with the knife. This is the second SCC that has sent out roots, and I’m hoping it’s the last. I’m rather concerned at the speed that this one manifested itself...only a matter of a few weeks from nothing to a nasty b@st@rd!

I’ll know pretty soon as to whether or not there is a need for more treatment. I’m waiting with bated breath.

Vince , Hope the reports on the skin cancer comes in negative .

I'm had a couple over the years on my face and back and have one on my neck , but it hasn't changed ,so the doctor wanted to just leave it alone.

good luck , for the good LORDS with us all.....

Thanks Elvis and Pete. Most skin cancers are usually benign...solar keratosis, Basil Cell Carcinoma...but the Squamous Cell Carcinoma is the first that can metastasise, or so I’ve been told, which is why they remove them very quickly.

I took the bandage off to rewrap it, and the dressing fell off because all the adhesive had gone. I don’t mind because I had to take the dressing off in two days anyway. I tell ya what, it’s bloody tight, and if I count correctly there are 25 stitches. It’s actually bigger than I thought, and all for a “spot” that was less than 2mm round. Hopefully it will heal ok and will settle down.

25 sutures, impressive.
Youll attain that Frankenstein look yet, if you keep this up.

And I might add you are not making the "golden years" look very appealing.

Sorry mate, but I suppose that’s life in the fast lane.
