I had forgotten that little side effect, maybe because at the time I just didn't care.

Extra raw fruit and fresh veggies will help with the slower digestion and so does water-small amounts all day long.
I don't use any opiates anymore but I do remember the side effects.
Keep pushing to your tolerance of pain but not through it. Get back to doing the hings you like to do.

Vince,
Movicol.
Gets things moving GENTLY, no Mt St Helens effects in the hours after taking, just ops normal functionality, without bulging eyeballs, usually next morning.
That would be the next level of attack if the natural products dont follow the functions written on the box.
Cheers

That's the best stuff on the market IMO - uses soluble fibre that holds water to "ease the passage".
Of course beer's pretty good at that too...

Vince, we have been through this before. Right out of the box you disregarded sound advise.

No mate...concentrating on the exercises that the physios gave me...and fighting my soldiers mentality that says “Go hard, up the guts with bags of smoke”. I felt really good one morning, pain not excessive, knee felt like it was ready for a little work, so I went a little harder in the gym...damn, did I pay for it later. Thank God for Endone (OxyCodone).

No mate, advice well heeded...wish I could find a way of getting my knee to listen though. At times it is amiable and doesn’t get nasty with me, whereas other times, and without warning, it ‘s up and says “ahha” hack me up will ya, well cop this pal... PAIN

Yeah well bone trauma does that.
Not to mention all the muscles, nerves and tendons moved around to fit the new knee.
None of them like that as you are well aware.
Google knee replacement videos, then give yourself a pat on the back, its a long road to recovery and if you dont over do it things will start improving, hopefully with less pain.
Remember minimum 6 weeks for bone to heal depending on the "gap" its got to fill.

And the pain is gone and the withdrawal from oxycodone begins. This could be a long story.

Vince: old trick from the time when Asterix and Obelix were still fighting the Romans: take a hammer and give a good beat on 1 or 2 of your fingers and you'll forget your knee for a few moments...
there is also another trick, but that involves the cooperation of a young nurse and might upset your wife... and that last part could hurt you for longer times.
