Well, after many years of using my Fausti Stefano Elegant field grade O/U for both clay target shooting and chasing bunnies in the paddocks, I have decided to buy myself a new 12g O/U for clay targets...courtesy of my Mum (her Bequeathment from her Estate).
I have a good mate who has a business on the side, called The Shotgun Shop, and he kept an eye out for a suitable gun. I lucked out when a Miroku Mk 11 came into his armoury. This gun has only had 250 rounds through it because the guy who bought it found the recoil caused problems with a shoulder injury...so now I have it in my gunsafe. It comes with Briley Thin Wal C300 chokes, a Kick EEze recoil pad, titanium firing pins, an adjustable cheek piece, two different triggers adjustable for length of pull and for all intensive purposes, it is a new gun.
This model retails for around $3400 over here and the guy put about another $1000 in mods and improvements into it before deciding to part with the gun. Now the best part, well for me, I picked it up for $2500! I have a couple of minor adjustments to make because I am L/H and it has a slight right hand cant for a R/H shooter, but apart from that it fits me perfectly. I’ve already had a crack with it and am very happy with it overall. It has factory engraving over the action and, to me, this really enhances the look.
I'm really looking forward to getting some quality range time with this gun.

Great buy Vince
You should be able to get enough cast on with the adjustable comb
Just don't keep adjusting things
I can't coach or teach but would love to come along for a session on the clays
However my poor form can be contagious

Very nice shotgun, but you do need to update your lighting systems. They have electricity now days you know.

Nice score Vince.
Im all to aware of shoulder issues, I've all but stopped shooting shotgun due to having had 2 major repairs to my right shoulder, i dont relish a 3rd.
The Miroku's are a very nice quality gun that seem to give very few problems, you will enjoy it once you get used to it.
Cheers

Yeah, I know mate, but electricity is expensive...I also use an insect repellant in the lantern.
Speaking of the hurricane lantern...it belonged to my wife’s father who was drowned when she was 9 yrs old, so it’s really a memory thing. As for the other candle holders etc, they were gifts from our daughters when they were younger...again, memories. But you are right mate, I really need to get some LED lights installed in the awning and also look at an electronic means of bitey insect control.

What a beautiful firearm, Vince. You are a lucky man.

I’m not a “fine” shotgun guy (mine are mostly pump actions), but that sure looks like a nice piece.
Is Miruko a well respected brand??
Please forgive my ignorance...I’m tryna learn something..

Miroku = FN-Browning "made in Japan"
(and it's not only shotguns, also carbines etc.)
