I use the 95gr Nosler Ballistic Tip In my Howa 1500, can cover group with a dime at 100 yards. As my buddy says : those are bug sized groups. Took me a while, but found out it loves RL-17.

They are nice groups mate, but realistically, for a hunting rifle, all you need is Minute of Critter...unless of course you are anal about minuscule groups, in which case, you are well on the way to achieving mate.

I agree with Vince, haven't been here that long, and that's the first thing I remembered about you.
Actually, that was great to see a buncha guys that love to bust each others chops, and can laugh about it.

Yep...we are one big happy family here mate, which is how it should be when we are all joined by a common bond...hunting...and taking the mickey outa one another. I've always said, if you can't laugh at yourself, then you have no right to laugh at others.

I reckon some of the new Barnes type projectiles in something like 70-80grn weight would really make the EBRG sing a new tune for bigger critters up close.

Both the TSX and TTSX in .243 expand well. The Hornady GMX is a keeper also. The E-tip is too long and heavy (90 grains) and I could not get it to shoot well. It requires 1:9 twist or faster.
