The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples, they have voted and in so doing they have declared their independence from the European Union. They have voted to retake control over their own politics, borders and their economy.
In November, the American people will once more have the chance to declare their independence, a chance to vote for positive trade, for fair and legal immigration, for the rule of law and for foreign policies that can once again put our own citizens first. We will have the opportunity to put an end to cowing down to the enemies of our country and once again embrace our true friends and allies. We will have a chance to reject today’s rule by the globalist elite and to embrace a change that promises to deliver a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

I'm not sure any more ... when the Attorney General takes the position and flat out says that the only way we can win the hearts and minds of terrorists is with love ... how can you not vote for that?!?!?!?

By Saturday afternoon, more than 2 million people had signed a petition on the official UK Parliament website to force a debate on the issue. That number takes it well over the 100,000-signature threshold needed to force a debate on the issue by members of Parliament. Regrexit is the new name.

I think they're just not ready to deal with the reality of independence and self governance, Marg. Thatcher would have approved of the vote. Really anthing Obama is for, I'm against and he was for them staying with the EU and is probably willing to throw us into it as well. The whole one world order kinda thing is right up his alley.

The smarties that voted the right way have seen the US and Germany and other non-EU members lending a hand at bailing out bankrupt countries, have seen mass unfettered emigrations polluting their sovereignty and straining their welfare funds. But now they're saddled with the burden and voted to remove themselves from the regulatory EU situation with no real plan of attack to proceed cleaning it all up. They're regretting the vote because it's a hard row to hoe but they got themselves in the mess in the first place. I hope they man-up and stick with a plan in the right direction. Others may follow.

This socialist ideology needs a poke with a sharp stick, the Brits have a way with sharp sticks but their socialist tendencies might just get the better of them. I hope they get out of that mess.

(I just read the petition numbers are approaching 3 million now)

Suz

As if there wasn't a debate before the vote. My son got deployed to Germany in a joint NATO operation a couple of weeks ago. He is with British troops. They are very happy that the vote was to leave. They specifically commented on how they felt threatened/bullied to stay in. They said Obama's threats of what would happen to them pushed them to want to leave. I've also heard other Brits say all the politicians for staying could say was how bad things would be if they left but gave no facts or figures to back up they claims.

Suz, I saw something earlier that said that the petition was bogus. Didn't read it all though.

Hundreds of thousands of names on the petition with overseas IP addresses, including more than 8,000 from the Vatican (Pop: 800...) & thousands from North Korea.
Meanwhile, our so-called "Conservative" government appears to be lining itself up to negotiate the UK into some form of "EU Lite", rather than what most on the Leave side wanted.
The only bright point in the proceedings so far, is the socialist Labour Party (Dem equivalent) is tearing itself apart with internal strife.

There are unscrupulous dirtbags everywhere mate. Remember the election when Whammy Obammy first stood...there were claims of people that had been dead for decades 'voting'. I remember seeing jokes printed of political party supporters going through graveyards in CA writing down names etc.
