3 hours, hunting new spots, nada. Zippo. Crying or Very sad

Went back to the lil mesa I found two days back. 30min's in and BRRRRRRR! So I lightly chased two nice bunches off an on for an hour til I was pooped from shooing them back up on the mesa (read herding cats), then busting them, then going down and fetching them back up....ugh!, then I left them to regroup so as not to over-pressure them so maybe they will be there next time (firm believer is 2 passes max then leave them be for the next hunter).

Such wild and crazy action and just so much fun I can't stop smiling.

Missed 4. Mad Got 2. Smile Good enuf for a nice meal.

Elvira speaks! Very Happy

Great stuff Stovey...your hard work has finally paid off mate (even if it was all fun). I like your ethics mate...I only hope others feel the same way.

Break out the frypan and partake of the fruits if your labours mate, you've earned it.

Thanks everyone, what a killer weekend of chasing stuff over hill and dale. I knew something was missing in my life, it was chasing birds through gnarly stuff. Whata thrill! My knees think my brains lost it! hehehe. The wee-ones are aging now in the cooler, then they are getting browned in oil then simmered in mild salsa and served on wild rice w/ caramelized veggies and stuff. YUM!

Slimmers I like that name! Grats on the new thunder-stick! Cannot go wrong with a Mossy for sure! Love mine!

Mornin' Bushboss! Stalls 'r mucked out 'n the second pot's on the fire!

Samson because it a 10-shot! Except when I put the 17" plut in the tubular magazine. I looks like an over-under. Its amazing how good a tactical/3-gun shotgun work in the field.

In between bustin' a gut up and down the gullies mate, find a spot where there are a few bunnies and do some sniping with a rimfire using subsonics. Will put done bunnies in the freezer and give the birds a chance to settle down so you can go back to them.

Them there are some tasty looking morsels. I had a good weekend with the birdies too, now time for a feast!!! Birds are starting to fly higher so its almost to take Bertha out on a date. She's been left home a lot since I bought my SX3.
