Never have seen a site with less interest in waterfowl. Heck even those California guys hunt ducks/ geese.

I must admit that waterfoul are not my primary interest and I have few opportunities to take part in wing shooting. We have ducks and geese but not in the numbers that you see on a flyway. We only have minor flyways here.

I lived for duck and goose hunting back in the day but there just isnt anywhere left to really hunt them anymore. Farmers now charge up to $500 a day to sit in a corn field to shoot geese... its now a rich mans sport around here.

All of sudden up pops some interest- as I grow older I hunt birds more- easier to get from field than moose- boo- bears- Itil lhunt moose but only those little(ha) Ontario ones- and bears(black) from pussy hunter stands- as for 1895SS--I'd be glad to shoot your share or just take it home with me.
I also like fact that most days you get second shot if you miss--gotts say hough- I'd love one more sheep/grizz hunt.

Good afternoon Bushmaster How are you today?
SenoirCoot , you do that and maybe we can get together this year.
Guess I better get on topic so I don't get deleted.........!
Yes I don't care for water foul at all. Give me a pheasant or prairie chicken any day. They are tasty.

I'm fine...been deleted lately? Just took care of my horses and am back again. Looks like a fire up valley...too far to hinder my horses at this time, but I'm watchin' it.
Around here there isn't any places, that I know of, to hunt ducks and where I'm from (The Great Northwest) duck and goose season is in the dead of winter and I will let my son get wet and cold for me...

Yes I noticed some posts deleted..........
There is a lot of water fowl hunting in my area and a lot of birds come through this area. There are many U.S. hunters that come here every fall. We used to get Dan Blocker, Lorne Green, Patrick Duffy and many many more celebrities that came here to hunt. SeniorCoot has been trying to get in on a hunt here but the Outfitters have not been cooperative to say the least.

Never been hunting for waterfowl to be honest myself.
Never understoud how taking a shotgun and shooting things that are flying interesting But I got to admit Duckhunt for the Original Nintendo was fun
From what I hear its lay on you back for half a day trying to call them with no real luck seeing as unless the ducks are close they wont hear the calls anyways and once they come in close make it sound like a war with you shooting off your shootgun at them shooting about 20-25 shotgun shells at the ducks at the time that they are in range.
Am I missing anything about it ??

Wow Dimitri... I'm a bit surprised.
Wing shooting Doves, jumping a rooster Pheasant over a pointing dog, jump shooting Grouse in the forest, calling in that flock of canadas over a spread ... some of the most fun I've ever had in my life.
Rifle hunting, even muzzleloading seems "abstracted" compared to hunting with scatterguns.
If I could only hunt a single thing for the rest of my life I would choose Dove hunting over all else with Pheasants coming a close second (but sadly the golden era of Pheasants is long since past and I mourn its loss keenly).
