#3: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: wiersy111, Location: Central MinnesotaPosted: Sun Oct 14, 2012 2:48 pm ---- What do you have there Stovie? A little more info and a size reference would be helpful. I am guessing that is 8 shot not 8 gauge. By the looks those are 12 and 20 gauge brushes. So 28 gauge?
#4: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: Aloysius, Location: B., BelgiumPosted: Sun Oct 14, 2012 11:51 pm ---- Or the sweet 16?
It's a little tick for the 28 and a little long for the 24, so I would think the 16 or a (3" ?) 20.
And that number 8 birdshot would do very good in a full choke, but then I wouldn't take a rollcrimp as my first choise.
#5: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: Elvis, Location: south island New ZealandPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 12:37 am ---- hmm 20ga maybe???
#6: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: Ominivision1, Location: IowaPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 2:58 am ---- I'll try 16 ga.
#7: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: stovepipe, Location: Pine, Az.Posted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:35 am ---- More guesses boys!
ONE guess please...not multiples.
Winner gets that nasty bore mop in the shot glass!
#8: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: wiersy111, Location: Central MinnesotaPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 12:31 pm ---- There are only two others that it could be so I'll go with 32 ga.
#9: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: stovepipe, Location: Pine, Az.Posted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 1:01 pm ---- Comon people- that mop aint gona win itself!
Lets see some more guesses boys.
#10: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: wiersy111, Location: Central MinnesotaPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 1:10 pm ---- If it's not any of the above then it's a 24 ga.

Bingo!
Aloy gets a partial but...he made multiple guesses so...I'll send him some used patches.
#12: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: wiersy111, Location: Central MinnesotaPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 2:11 pm ---- The suspense was killing me.
#13: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: stovepipe, Location: Pine, Az.Posted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 2:28 pm ---- Yer slighty abused, well broken in bore mop is in it's way sir!
CONGRATULATIONS!
#14: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: Aloysius, Location: B., BelgiumPosted: Tue Oct 16, 2012 12:40 am ---- And when do you send my patches? Maybe take your bike and bring them over? I will see I'll get some doves ready to be shot when you're here (as long as you don't rob our garbage-trucks).
I even could lent you a nice Dumoulin in cal 24, but that's only a single shot. Maybe you better make your choise in the doubles or semi-autos in 20, 16 or 12. Hunters here have not so good relations with pumpguns.
There might be 1 realy big item you should not forget: once you get the taste in old-style belgian made rifles and shotguns, you might have to sell your bike to forfill your desires...
Is it allowed to hang a little weagon on your bike?
and for your cal 24: I think the rollcrimp mislead me. Most things I have here show that caliber as 24-65 where 65 mm is the length of the shell, so very short.
#15: Re: What gauge is it??? Author: stovepipe, Location: Pine, Az.Posted: Tue Oct 16, 2012 6:23 am ---- Single shot's fine for me, less missing.
Yup- 65MM. It's a half-a-12 gauge!
Great. Getting hooked on Belgian guns, that could get expensive.
