Got a mate who set me up nicely with his 45.70. He loaded up a quantity of different loads, from 250gn to 500gn bullets and said here ya go, try these. Now me being a macho ex Infantry SGT said sure, not a problem, easy. Took 2 weeks for the bruises to disappear from my shoulder after the 500's!! Bastard.
I'll stick to my Winchester Mod 94 in, yep, you got it 30.30, and my Weatherby .243. They'll handle anything that "half a housebrick" thrown by a crowbar can, and with more finesse. Cheers, Vince |
