I hate weather forecasters!!!!!! Last night when I watched the late news at 11 PM they were say extreme wind with rain and possibly sleet for this morning. I figured with the wind still blowing around 20 mph at 11 the forecast was pretty reliable so I stayed up past 1 AM doing homework. Nature called at about 4 and I still heard the wind blowing so I went back to bed. I slept until and out 8. The reason I woke up was it was unusually quiet and there was all kinds of bright shiny light coming in the windows. The "storm" broke and it was calm , sunny and warm. I did talk to friends that went out hunting and out of five groups no one saw anything. The ducks weren't flying and the deer must have stayed in bed to. But it sure would have been a great morning to take a nap in the stand once the sun go up there nice and high. I have found where the deer have been but they just haven't been moving, or moving strictly at night. Tomorrow is another day I'll just have to see what is moving in the morning.

Maybe buy some of Suz's apples?

I would try to make an apple-trail just to my back-yard and then storm or not, I can wait while feeling warm and I would be ready when necessary.

Dropped 4 this morning but pup couldn't find one of them. It was a dead duck folded up perfect but the weeds were thick. Pretty slow those were the only 4 shooters.

I have never shot a banded bird. The neighbor hood cats are fighting over the goodies out in the woods. Wanna smell my breathe? That's all that's left of them birds. 2 were teal and one was a woody's not a hell of a lot of meat there. Me and mama chowed them down quickly.
