#8: Re: New 825 Magnum Author: stovepipe, Location: Pine, Az.Posted: Fri Apr 29, 2011 8:56 am ---- Anyone remeber the double 4-bore?
Had 1/4 pound projectiles! Eeek!
Here's a pic of a 2-bore. "Pellet" in the muzzle is a .50cal ball!!!
#9: Re: New 825 Magnum Author: Ominivision1, Location: IowaPosted: Fri Apr 29, 2011 9:49 am ---- Yup, and I also seen in a museum an "A" bore which has a 2" hole
Also on another site awhile back, their was a guy building a modified savage shotgun known as the 12 gauge from he$$. He has since worked his way up to 20 gauge down to either 2 or 4 bore now.

I've always been thinking blackpowder, even the coarse one is rather fast. That's why it's so good in a shotgun and in my opinion they don't use the smokeless, slow burning rate powder in a shotgun.
You think that guy knows where he's talking about?
#11: Re: New 825 Magnum Author: Ominivision1, Location: IowaPosted: Fri Apr 29, 2011 10:47 am ---- Good catch Aloysius, I had to go back to the site and re-read it. Now it makes you wonder if he does know what he's talking about. From the looks of the guy firing off the shooting stick, his stance is off, gun looks like its not on his shoulder and not leaning into the gun plus firing a 3500gr bullet is going to hurt a little bit.
