I posted this in your other thread.....I guess I should have found this one first !!! If I'm reading your laws correctly only shotguns are permitted (daytime) unless it's during the deer gun season then slug guns and muzzle loaders are permitted. You can still use your rifle on crows !!! |

OOPS Edit - Please disregard the following Rant. I misread the regulations. I was reading the section of regulations for hunting coyote and fox - during deer season - Hunting the rest of the varmint season with rifle and handgun IS ALLOWED in MA. (whew - Don't have to move after all to use the .204) Even better, electronic calls are now allowed as well. |

Are you sure your allowed to use a rifle ??? From 2011 PDF under title of Coyote and Fox Coyote and fox may be hunted with shotguns, muzzleloaders and archery, as well as rifles and handguns with special nighttime restrictions (see page 23). Shotguns are required to use pellets no greater in size than .230 (FF) During deer season the use of slugs and buckshot are permitted. Page 23 is "hunting prohibitions" • Rifles chambered to take ammunition larger than .22 caliber long rifle rimfire, and pistols and revolvers chambered to take ammunition larger than .38 caliber, between the hours of ½ hour after sunset and ½ hour before sunrise I really hope I missed something.......I'd hate to see you have to do another edit !!! |
