The stuff this relates to is his later works in Australia still very funny and relevant, a comic genius.
Fred Dagg was an alter ego architypical farmer from rural NZ (Taihape)
If you can find Video or audio of him it's priceless.
His finest moment was the song "If it weren't for your gumboots". an absolute classic - which no "real bloke" kiwi doesn't know all the verses to.
I'm sure all us kiwis know it off by heart and with one or two of Vinces finest could break out into song at the most inopportune time.
