Cool Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my 1911s, I have 2 that I built, 1 Les Baer and a Kimber Tactical. They are all reliable to a great extent but they are Tight and a little crud will slow them down to where a failure would not be unlikely. Whereas the Glock by its design will keep on running. Its just a matter of design. IMO for their intended purposes neither is better or worse than the other in any way.

One thing that I very much dislike about my Glocks are the factory chambers, I really believe that Glock could tighten them up without effecting their reliability in any way and could also provide a more supported chamber. I like to reload but limit my Glocks to standard loads and not using unknown brass along with only loading brass for them a maximum of 3-4 times. I have a Wilson barrel in my .40 and am able to shoot cast/lead bullets in it without any problem.

The G25 in .380 is a DREAM to shoot, I had the chance when stationed in Miami and the DEA was looking at them for a back up for their agents. I worked with Customs & DEA at various times. I also had a chance to fire and play with a G18, whoooooeeee fun time X100!!!! That lil bugger was a lead hose!!!! Very easy to keep on target and to also engage multiples! Has a lot to say for how controllable the Glock is, the barrel sits very low in your hand and makes multiple shots easy and quick. Cool

A good well tuned 1911 will always be nice and tight....but smooth! I've had a few modular framed 1911's as well as conventional framed (but i like modular better) and there is nothing like the feel of a good 1911 (except for the ones Bushmaster owns. Damn rusty boat anchors! Poke Nananana ).

I would like to see Glock have a better supported chamber though as well. Not that i've had even a lick of problems with a factory barrel (i've never) but id still like to see a fully supported polygonal rifled barrel.

I'm yet to shoot a .380 Glock (JEALOUS Mad JEALOUS Mad JEALOUS Mad ) Mr. Green .....BUT the 18 is too fun to shoot, with all the control in your hand from an auto that IS NOT a prey and spray pistol....Highly accurate!

My Colt .45 ACP shoots 1 1/2" on a good day and 2" on a bad day at 25 yards. Bench resting of course. I still can't shoot quite that good.

If you mean the Ken in Stockton... Then yes...

I just HATE this when it happens...Here I am trying to answer that 10ring and four people (maybe two) slide in between. Not fair... Evil or Very Mad

Hmmmmm, i have to ask........Why in the world would you "TRY" to teach an idiot? And....would a question be in fact "a stupid question" comming from an idiot?

So what do you mean "NEXT!!!" Pistol Shooting ...I'll dodge 'em ALL!

Seriously though....i know what you mean, and have fired a many of people based on stupidity!

It's what I do for a living and I'm stuck with it until I reach 65 & 10 or my wife gets tired of my whinning and sniveling (also known as "bitching")

And you can't dodge fast enough. I may not be able to shoot as good as my .45 ACP, but I am gettin' close.
