#1: Great Quotes? Author: kamrienlorrry, Posted: Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:03 am ---- Hey guys
I'm doing an English project where I need to gather some great inspirational quotes. Especially about looking up, breathing, or being strong. I know a lot of musical theater has some really great quotes, so does anyone have any favorites they would like to share?
Thanks!

Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?"

when doubt no longer exists for you, then go forward with courage.
So long as mists envelop you, be still;
be still until the sunlight pours through and dispels the mists
-- as it surely will.
Then act with courage.
Ponca Chief White Eagle (1800's to 1914)
Next one is not exactly a quote but lovely anyway;
Treat the earth well.
It was not given to you by your parents,
it was loaned to you by your children.
We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors,
we borrow it from our Children.
Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together.
All things connect.
Chief Seattle, 1854
May the stars carry your sadness away,
May the flowers fill your heart with beauty,
May hope forever wipe away your tears,
And, above all, may silence make you strong.
Chief Dan George
I do not think the measure of a civilization
is how tall its buildings of concrete are,
But rather how well its people have learned to relate
to their environment and fellow man.

Bushy!!! Alright....... howbout, also known as Sealth, Seathle, Seathl, or See-ahth, and a leader of the Suquamish and Duwamish tribes, but better known as Chief Seattle (an Anglicization of Si'ahl) for all you Anglicans. Interesting story about Chief Sealth is that he made a few speeches (but in his Native tongue) to the White people of the time and his words had to be translated numerous times to end up in English, and there is no actual recording of anything he said, so what ever he did say, we'll never know for sure. We wanna make sure it's translated into something flowery and relevant though don't we?
