#15: Re: Winchester Mod 290 Author: Bushmaster, Location: Ava, MissouriPosted: Sun Feb 15, 2009 8:53 am ---- Yes and No, Cary...I have three .22 rifles in my safe. One belongs to one of my sons. One belongs to my daughter. And one belongs to my wife. I bought every one of my children a .22 rifle when they were old enough to show responsibility. I have never owned one myself. I figured it was about time I had my own .22 rifle...So...Other then my .22 Woodsman I will now have a .22 that I can shoot without getting comments from my kids and wife. "Why don't you use your own rifle?" Have you ever shot a squirrel with a .30 WCF or a.30-06?
I've been using my Daughter's Ruger 10/22. I really don't like it. The wood is too fat and I feel like I have a child's gun to my shoulder. I've handled the 250 and 290 before and they felt much better and had a more adult feel to them.
